jet size?

I have a kz1000 shaft. I bought some carbs from a 78 kz1000a2 with 117.5 main and 20 pilot jets. My question is are these jets too big? I have 4 into 1 straight megaphone exhaust and will be using pods. I also have dyna coils with the powering mod. Thanks

No,my 80 ltd had 117.5 in it.I had v.h.header,k&ns,went to 128`s,still seemed like it needed more.Had to buy extra jets.Sold bike before i finished w/ it.They say 17% header-10 to 11% air cleaners.(increase)dont be afraid of it,buy some jets.work your way up the scale, you`ll be able to tell when u go past the point of running good. She`ll stumble, spit etc..i like going up two jet sizes at a time, hit the stumble mark back off one jet size.

The 78 A2 and A2A are VERY lean from the factory and don't like pods / pipes at ALL... The jetting you are using is pretty close to being spot on. The jet needles need to be reclipped to the 4th slot if not already there. The #20 pilot jet is an especially needed feature as the #17.5 doesn't seem to work well with the stock jet needles/needle jet... still too lean.
