Sergio, my kawa manual shows the IN over Z4 mark to be used for the kz400. The 500 and 550 use the Z over 5 mark.

Tellietube/Pumps: Thanks for being there!

I´ll post two pics from my toilet paper, er, my comic book, oh well, my Clymer:laugh: :P :woohoo: :silly:
depicting the differences between camshaft sprockets for the ZX550 (my GPz) and older KZ500/550´s. As you see, the illustration shows that "IN/Z4" mark as the intake timing mark, and so I´ve assembled it. Because my bike is a clear no-go case right now, I suspect that Tellietubbie is right and my Clymer sucks. If my timing is 80º out, how come I didn´t notice any binding when rotating the engine? What can the consequences for the valves be? Anyone out there with a reliable ZX550 manual or supplement from Kawasaki maybe can send me some pics and advice?

HELP GUYS!!!!!
