29's were great 30yrs ago,get the 34's.i have a set on a slightly modified 900 runs great, no leaks, idles great, great throttle response, and i can get parts if i ever need them.alot of guys think 29's were magical in my "opinion" they are junk for use today, unless your restoring a bike to factory specs i cant see the sense in useing old carbs.

throttle response is why i like the smaller carbs,on a streetbike i dont think youll overpower a set of 29s on a smaller motor very easy;)

My engine builder says 36 mm with a 1075 12:1 for drag racing would be perfect. The 29's would give you good response down low. 34's would be nice compromise. I am going to bore out a set of GSXR 29mm flatslides to 33mm. Only because I can't afford a new set of 36 mm RS carbs.
