You have to take off the tops of the carbs. Remove the gas tank first.

Are they Mikuni VM carbs? If so, the screws are under the covers. If your bike is like mine, there are 3 phillips screws per carb holding the covers on. Remove the screws, then the covers. You will see the synch screws inside the tops of the carbs. On my bike, the synch screws are held in place by locknuts. If yours is the same, loosen the locknuts, then you can turn the synch screws with a flat screwdriver.

If you're really good, you can synch 'em with the gas that's in the float bowl. If not, you need to supply gas to the carbs while you do the synch. The easiest way to do this is to set the gas tank sideways on the seat and hold it down with some bungee cords. Use some extra fuel line to connect the petcock to the carb inlets. Hook up the carb synch gauges, then start the bike and turn the screws to synch them up. The engine needs to be warmed up to do it right.

Not on my bike. You adjust them all individually. There's a screw for each carb. Adjust the one that's closest first, then adjust the rest of them to that one. Do you have a spec on the bike?

Spec for my bike is 20 to 28 centimeters of mercury vacuum, with no more than 2 centimeteres of mercury difference between carbs at idle speed of 950 to 1050 rpm. I have VM26 carbs on my bike.
