carb kit for a 79 kz400??

Sorry for the long first post.

Ok been reading and searching but seems to me that the kits come for a 77-78 or 80-81 but not for a 79

I have a 79 kz400 B2
Frame number is K-107744

Carb number is V55A QH08

I am not sure if the kit from the 78 will work..

I need the carb kit since buying the bowl gasket, and pilot screw seperately is pricey but If I have to .. I will.

I have to get the silver screw next to the pilot screw also and the rubber plugs inside the bowl.

I did find that someone had put a different float needle in.. one is all metal one is metal with the rubber tip.

ok so looking at the kaw parts diagram I am confused.

for the 79 b2 it shows 2 different mixture screws
16014-1001
16014-1009

Which is it..?

Notice that the 79 b2 is listed under both!!!

ok i pulled the needle out of the slide..

it has a 00300 on it
the jets are 95 and 35

does that ring a bell to anyone?

Yeah i have a thread over at kz400 and ibsen replied but didn't know for sure. even talked to z1enterprises about the mixture screw..

I am leaning to buying a kit for a 78.
