can't find jets was created by zero psi
Hey everyone! Time for a dumb newb question. I have a '75 kz400-D. I made my own exhaust 'cause I wasn't about to pay more money on pipes than I paid for the whole bike, and I got pods 'cause they were inexpensive and look cool. Heres my dilemma...
I can't find jets for this thing anywhere online! Is there another option to richen up these carbs by modifying the originals? I found something in the archives about shimming the needle? Could someone explain how to do this? I think it is a keihn cvb36 carb. Thanks a bunch fellas!

"Shimming the needle" consists of placing a thin washer under the circlip on the needle to raise it up and enrich the mixture.

zero,

z1 enterprises sells rebuild kits for those carbs, if you wanted to try and modify them.

I ran with pods for a few years, it was always finicky, so I was glad to see the stock filters come down in price (from $85 to $25) and now I'm using the stock filter and airbox.

Thanks,

George
