Inline fuel filter?

I want an inline fuel filter for my 76 kz400. Can I buy any inline fuel filter of the correct size at my local auto parts store, or do I have to order one? How many do I need...sorry, I haven't gotten my bike yet and I don't know if I need one per carb. Anyone know the size of the fuel lines? Thanks.

I grabbed a couple of in-line fuel filters from NAPA no problem for my KZ440.

On my bike at least, I have two lines coming from my pepcock, one is for fuel the other is a vacuum line. I was a newb so at first put the filter on both lines :D Have since removed it thoguh and have one filter on the fuel line. 1/4" line.

The one I use is NAPA Gold 3011 inline fuel filter made by WIX out of Gastonia NC. It is such a nice little filter, tucks in easily under your tank, fits both ΒΌ" and 5/16" fuel line, and only requires you to cut 2" out of your fuel line. I use it for everything from lawn mowers, bikes, to the brother in law's Super Beetle.
