Since my other post (two carb conversion) has been up for quite a while, i figured i might get a quicker response by asking a more direct question in a new topic.

I've changed my mind and have started leaning more torward a single carb for an easier linkage and cost. I've got my eye on a 40mm Keihin CV carb from a 80 cube HD, and im wondering if this carb would present any problems in a single carb application for a 903.

I've checked dyno graphs and they have shown to make good power on bikes upwards of 70 rear wheel hp. So personally i can't see why the carb wouldn't work flawlessly on a smaller displacement bike that would just rev higher than a v-twin.

I'd appreciate any feedback from seasoned cycle carb professionals. Fabbing the intake manifold won't be a problem, i already have the materials. Im just down to getting a proper carb to make this happen. Thanks.

Well i finally got the carb, brand new never installed Keihin 40mm CV carb from a big 80 twin for only $150 including shipping. Now i just have to get on making an intake manifold and taking a stab at jetting. I'll post up some pics soon of how things are going.
