28 Jul 2006 17:26
bike sat for about a week with no gas in the tank. i fill it up today, rode about ten miles and parked it. came back and the drain line on the bottom of the #1 carb is pouring fuel as fast the line can handle. any ideas?

You know my carb used to do that before I rebuilt it - but I could just tap it with a screwdriver handle and the float valve would settle in.

your tank might have rusted a little inside since it was empty, are you running a inline filter between the petcock and the carbs? if not get one. biuqetoast is right you more than likely sucked some trash inside.
