Will this tank fit?
27 Jul 2006 07:46
I see this fuel tank on ebay( Item number: 190011298498). Specifies KZ1100 Spectre. I'm awaiting the seller's response as to the year. This tank is in way better shape than mine (1983 KZ1100 LTD L1). Would this tank fit my bike?
Thanks.
Thanks.

LOL I have that one on my watch list, also for my 83 1100 LTD! You get dibs, my water-weld is still holding up. My wild guess is that it will fit perfectly. I wanted the Eddie Lawson replica tank, for the extra 2 gallons capacity, but I figured I'd let someone who REALLY needed it buy it (and no-one did).

Rickman-
Thanks. On the other hand, I think my existing tank will be fine...just needs to be cleaned and painted. Besides, I've got many other more pressing parts to spend $ on for this bike. I'll not bid on this tank.
How's your 1100 running? Since you've got the same bike, I'm probably gonna check in with ya as I progress in the rebuild.

Rickman;
I dont think the Lawson tank is going to fit that ltd as it attaches different.
the ltd uses a bolt and the Lawson/J model/Gpz uses a metal tit thru a rubber gromet.
I could be wrong as I am going by my 81-82 ltd tank,the 83 may be different.
