carb holders alternatives?

My 85' gpz550 carb holders are getting pretty weak and I think its a good idea to get replacements. The problem is with the tk27 carburetors and the fact that these carb holders were only run for this model, there are none available anymore. Anyone have solutions or possibly alternatives available?

Partzilla lists them as an active current part.

Yeah unfortunately they are a little pricey. Im not willing to spend almost $200 on carb holders, which to put in perspective is more than i paid for the bike   Not to sound stingy its just above my means.

What's the issue "money challenged" ha. Just funning with You but is it the rubber sagging/cracking that you're looking at? I re-use the Original KZ/Z1 manifolds all the time. Just mill the rubber surface/memory out of flange to head and seal it. These Original manifolds are actually quite stout even though outwardly appear defunct. The rubber is soo thick, till it detaches from the metal plate. Aftermarket ones aren't soo robust.  

You could reach out to Clauss Studios for reproduction or to have them made.

Alot of vintage bikes have rare or expensive parts, comes with the territory.  Be happy you can still buy them.

Asphalt900 you're full of jokes! These are the condition of the carb holders right now:  they are also stiff and difficult to get the carbs on but I heard you can, through one way or another, soften the rubber. Luckily these carb holders are more "future proof" than others and use an o-ring at the mating surface on the head. Im just worried about the carb holders physically disintegrating. 

Daveo those look like the carb holders for the 22mm carbs on the early kz550s. Those are a lot more prevalent than the 26-27mm CV carbs on the 83'+ kz550s and gpz550s. Ill keep my eye out on some!

I need a set for my 550 too. $275.33 seemed like a lot .I was going to bite the bullet anyway even though i am {money challenged} also. Then when I went to cash out a thing came up saying they were back ordered and would take longer. So I called and as usual they said they weren't sure when they would be restocked so here, I am in the same predicament.    Really dont want cheap aftermarket junk either.

The only ones that i can find that seem like they would fit are from cruzin image. I am unsure of their quality but I dont expect them to be much better than other aftermarket options. Plus all of the import fees 🙄  ebay.io/m/rWXyyf  

Generally cruising image seem to have a good name

Might be worth a try.

I'll have to save those then for next year and see how they work! if anyone has anything else to add i would love to hear what you think.
