I covet your suggestions for a one liter portable fuel tank.

I want to buy a one liter portable fuel tank that I can hang from the handlebars or a post. I need this to provide fuel to the carburetor when I am checking them for running condition.
I have seen a few things on e pay but they look like they might be to cheap and therefore not last to long.
Thank you for reading this today !

I use a chunk of ABS pipe.  2.5" diameter or so, 24" long.  Exact dimensions are not important.  Glue on a matching end cap, then drill and tap for a threaded nipple fitting, for the fuel line.

To hang the pipe, a piece of stiff wire, formed into a hook shape.  When hanging your tank, it needs to be above the carbs, but not too high, or too much pressure head will be applied.

Been using this for years.  Total cost: cheap!  Ha ha.

It won't dangle from the bars and certainly not fancy but have had this remote petrol tank for well over 20yrs, works perfect for multiple applications. An old Tecumseh seem brazed tank slightly modified. YES, lawn mower variety. I don't trust those "motion-pro type plastic ultrasound welded tanks. I've a couple new plastic 5gallon tanks that are breaking from the seems.

I use a Motion Pro aux tank:  www.motionpro.com/product/08-0032

It holds a half-gallon so it's a little bigger than you requested, but it's not huge. Looks like they go for $65.99 these days. :-|

I should mention that this model is just for gravity feed / carbureted bikes. If you want to use it on any fuel-injected bikes you'll need the deluxe version.

Been using one of these for about 20 years, still going strong.
I'd imagine it's just a badged generic from China so could be bought loads cheaper.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

Had never thought about that, because never needed it but i'm Digging the concept!! One also incorporate an elbow with some sort of translucent hose to show the contents. A quick grab of bits but You can see ED's Idea. Technology straight from the woodpile, ha.

I made up this little 1 gallon auxiliary tank stand about 10 years ago with stuff I had lying around the garage, other than the shutoff valve it was free.

I unlike others do not pics to share. I have tended to use whatever I had on hand. You know the old necessity is the mother of invention thing. Will say I never used a chuck of plastic pipe and I want to tip my hat to you Ed on the idea. I am quite sure I would never of thought of doing so even when I have had lots of said pipe in my junk pile. It just never crossed my mind.
