Keihin CR smoothbore leak

guys, finding minimal fuel drip out of my #2 CR smoothbore individual air cleaner bottom ?....enough to put a small runoff spot of fuel on my garage floor overnight under the bike ......key: unless I am riding my '83 650, my petcock is OFF, so I have a teeny fuel leak into my #2 carb's air cleaner with the petcock off (I'm assuming) ....I will of course drain the #2 bowl, remove the bowl & clean it out and let it sit for a bit, but really looking to get any insight as to what is causing this inside the carb, or any check-this / do-this ...thanks for the insight & assist !

I would have thought for there to be fuel in the air cleaner the carb is overfilling (float height or float not sealing completely)

You say the fuel is turned off unless you are riding it. Do you have a manual petcock?

yeah, just find it odd that the petcock is off for a few days but I'm still getting fuel into that single air cleaner ....? will drop the bowl and use some light canned compressed air to see if I can dislodge anything ....put it back together, open the petcock, let that carb fill up and see what I get ....thanks Wookie
