Low fuel sender unit

Hi I am based in the uk, I have a Kawasaki 750ltd 1980, my low fuel warning unit is leaking really bad, I have removed it from the tank and made a blank to cover the hole, I have checked the unit and it’s badly corroded where the bike was left in all weather conditions until I saved it and stripped it down and cleaned everything, I had the tank in a gallon of white vinegar for 2 + weeks I took out at least 6oz of rusty residue I put the vinegar through a sieve and put the rust residue in a jam jar, sorry to blab on but I am trying to locate a low fuel warning unit, I will be in the states next week for a month, I am staying in the Sarasota area, so I can pick one up if there’s one local. Thanks for your help any advice would be much appreciated.
