Pictures of Japanese-spec Keyster carb kit for '81 GPz550 was created by chopper1963
Following up here. I had my friend who runs a motorcycle shop in Tokyo buy me Keyster carb kits for my 1981 GPz550 TK carbs.
They arrived today.
They are amazing quality. I don't know why but the kit came with 12 different needles and 12 different pilot jets.
The packaging is typical Japanese and shows why there are photo books devoted to the art of Japanese product packaging.
The bowl gaskets look like they have been cut with a space-laser or something.
I've probably seen way too many (crap) K&L and eBay jets and kits now to ever go back to them.

Sat down with a loupe and looked at the jets and o-rings.
These things should be in the jewelry department at a gear head museum.

Once a person has held something of high quality in their hands, average will never again be good enough.

I did just happen to have some unopened K&L needle and seat on the bench. I opened them to compare.
One looks like it was made to move sewage through while the other is so precise and beautiful it looks like it is used to move Tinkerbell's sweat.

Yes. But as of now I have forgotten how spendy they were and I'm gonna leave it at that.
