That is the same as the original one that came on my Z1A. Mine is a "late" 1974 that had the updated VM28 carburetors, the same were used on the 1975 Z1B. (smaller carb drains being the easiest way to identify them)
I don't know if the 90 degree outlets were used on the 1973 Z1 and "early" 1974 Z1A.
Or it could just be a matter of where they were sourced from.

Never saw those on any unmoested Z1, Z1-A or Z1-B. Can't vouch for KZ900's.

As my Z1A was only 4 years old when I got it from the original owner and all his service was done at the local kawasaki dealer, I'm assuming the petcock is original or in the unlikely event that it was replaced it would have been a kawasaki part.

Same as the one on my 77 Z1000a1.
Guess kawasaki had a few suppliers with slightly different variations.

I have only see the two outlet side by each version on Z1's of all years. But I've seen the right angle version and assumed it came on other models.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Maybe mine had been swapped with another model before I owned it, but I assumed it was original because it was 4 years old and otherwise all stock when I got it. It didn't get "molested" until after I owned it for a few seasons.

When Jeff Saunders owned Z1Enterprises, I attempted to purchase petcock gasket kits for my Z2A and my KZ1000's and Jeff stated that is was difficult to know which kit to sell me as there was apparently mix and matching of petcocks done by Kawasaki even within a year model.

Looks like a KZ900 LTD petcock.
