I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

You haven't mentioned compression but I suspect it's a fuel issue, not compression. Are you certain fuel is entering the bowls and the floats are working properly?

I have not checked compression.
I am getting fuel to each bowl. I have unscrewed each drain and seen fuel come out to ensure there was fuel to each carb.
Every plug is showing a lean condition as well, so it seems that fuel isn’t getting past the intakes.
I converted to a gravity feed petcock. I plugged the vacuum barb on each carb. Is there something else I may need to plug?

Have you carefully check the diaphrams for pin holes ?

The rpm shooting up to 7k rpm suggests something is going on with the throttle butterfly valves. Maybe they are open more than you suspect.

No holes in the diaphragms, but the butterflies might be something to look into. I removed them when I completely disassembled the carbs. They took a bit of encouragement to get back in. Also, I tried to gently clean them but maybe not gentle enough. Maybe it’s not sealing tight enough and allowing extra air through.

Removing the butterflys is a difficult task and you can destroy or bent the shaft easily, that cause a difficultty in the shaft movment or concentricity.

I suggest holding the carbs up to a light, or the sky, and looking for light coming through with the butterflies fully closed.

So you're getting fuel into the bowls but not into the engine. I don't know the details of those carbs, but the bowls must be vented somehow to atmosphere. Otherwise fuel cannot be drawn up the jets into the airstream. Are your bowls vented to atmosphere?

I would do these checks :
1 take off plugcaps turnover the engine for a while. Take plugs out see if they are wet or dry smell the plugs. If dry the cyl not getting fuel and you can try to adjust the mixture more rich. (if wet it can also be that it is getting to much fuel so the mixture not ignite so you then have to adjust more lean)
2 check that the external fuel source has vent so it dont make a vacuum and stops the fuel flow.
3 no offense but how did you check the fuel level at 7mm did you use a clear tube or did you set the floats to 7mm ?
4 Check compression if you dont have a tester just hold a finger over plughole and feel if there are some pressure
Good Luck

- bowls are vented via a T shaped connector that carb 1/2 and 3/4 share respectively.
- fuel levels were set via clear tube method at 7mm below the bowl to carb joint.
-there is a very small amount of light that you can see through the closed butterfly of carb 1 and 3. It is small enough that you have to orient the carbs in a very particular way to see the light but you can see it.
- auxillary fuel tank has a hole in the top for vent

Maybe i will try loosening the screws on the two butterflys that are seeping light and see if i can get them to seat better.

I got one more to seat tightly without any light seen through. One however doesn’t seem to adjust that tightly unless I hold it down. So maybe the shaft is just ever so slightly bent. It is a very small crack of light.
