Unfiltered air is unhealthy for motor
Oil dirtier faster
scuffed cylinder walls
The only place for a motor without any filters is on a race track or Boat

I use RamAir MS-006 filters with stacks on my RS34's. BS34's have identical center spacing measurements, though front-back they are longer.

The idea of using POD FILTERS with BS34 CV carbs is discouraged.
PODS can hinder proper CV carburetor function, and drive sane people crazy with wild jet chases...
Do VELOCITY STACKS minimize detrimental cross-wind effects associated with PODS, as they direct air flow straight into the carburetor opening?

You could always do something similar to the mods I have made to the stock airbox, this gives the extra flow without the downside of pods (K&N panel is for a 3.7ltr V6 Infinity) you would have more room to play with not having the monoshock

WOW Wookie58, that is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and incredible idea...Dude!
My air box appears somewhat stock too...
It was gutted and the front was widened to fit the 3" long Mikuni trumpets (with filters) partly inside, in lieu of having to utilize rubber air box boots.
Those boots were a restrictive pita when I needed access to the RS carbs. They got increasingly stiff from age and constant internal exposure to ethanol in our fuel.
Mikuni stacks will never become soft , and are easy to remove through the snorkel lid opening beneath the seat.
Like to see pics of your air box mounted in the frame.
