Scrambler exhaust?

Anyone here ever retrofit a Triumph Scrambler  exhaust onto  KZ440 LTD, have any tips on how to go about it (where to get retrofitting parts and pieces, etc.), or any good reasons why it shouldn’t be attempted?  I have some basic experience with cutting, bending, and welding metal. Zero experience with exhaust.

Well an exhaust is "metal" so you should be "good to go" just remember to grind the chrome back where you are welding, there is no reason for it not to work (may need some jetting adjustments after) should look cool if you "make a job of it"

Vic’s bike is a 750 twin, but you should get some really good ideas from his build.

You will need to scroll through a bunch of pages to see the whole exhaust build.

I am about 87.2% sure that one of the long time members here made a scrambler exhaust for one of the twins, tho I’ll be danged if I can remember who it was.

Welp, here is one. It is not the one I was thinking of, but may be helpful. The exhaust discussion begins at the bottom of the page.

Jemco has made some exceptional systems, but I think he recently retired. Call first.

EDIT. I clicked on the link and see that the shop is now in Tennessee. I wonder who is running it now?

Like all of Vic's projects, this build thread just took a day of my life. Holy crap, that is a cool machine.

That is a picture from Jemco’s website. The XS650 pictured in the article on their home page was built by a friend of mine in Houston.
