vacuum gauge adaptor hack? was created by 82KZ305Belt
Do I need to buy 2 special Kawasaki adaptors at 30 to 50 bucks total and wait a week to get them just so I can connect vacuum gauges for carb synch? Or can I rig something else up at the hardware store? The Harbor Freight gauges I would use (yeah but they're better than nothing) don't have metric adaptors

To make an adapter, find a bolt that threads tnto the hole. Cut the bolt so you have a piece that there a few threads on one end and .5" of smooth on the other. drill a small hole through it.

Are you thinking the hose is big enough to fit over the smooth end?

You can make the smooth end any diameter you need. Could you buy adaptors from another gauge company?

Maybe you could get some plastic vacuum fittings from the auto parts store or on EB.
EB search = 6mm vacuum fitting .... chose 6mm at random. I have no idea what size you need.
EB search = 6mm Hose Pipe Connector

Looking at the homemade adaptors pics Nessism posted, It looks like the brass tubes are about the same diameter as the bolt. Are you thinking the hose is big enough to fit over the smooth end?

Are the tubes epoxied or cemented onto the bolts? Heading to the hardware store now...
