This is (one of the reasons) why I'm always hounding guys to do a proper rebuild was created by Nessism
Keihin CV34's from a 750E.  The interconnect tube O-rings just crumbled when trying to remove them.  Hard as a rock too.  

Soft fresh O-rings to the right, waiting their turn...
