Air pod recommendations

Looking to get pods for my 76 KZ900 soon. 
I will be using 28 MM Mikuni pumpers feeding an 1198 CC motor. 
 I've heard K&N are the best but they are also $200 for a set on the K&N website.
Are there others similar to K&N that can be cleaned  and "oiled" occasionally?
I have a set of pods on my 78 KZ1000 purchased from Z1 Enterprises that were about $7 to $8 a piece.

Any advice on best brands and where to purchase would be greatly appreciated.

You get what you pay so buy well and buy once.
K&N, S&B, APE, UniFilter, Piper and RamAir are the only filters i would use.

Exception to the "Get what you pay for " rule those are.
Made for APE in USA and not badged up chinese crap.
The cone ones are for the VM carbs and the oval for the larger RS and CV's etc.

Look good, are you using any sort of support bracket to stop the "gang" bouncing on the intake rubbers ?

I thought about making a couple support brackets out of aluminum strips I have lying around but want to get the bike fired up first (hasn't run in 30 years!) before I do much else to it.

If I remember correctly Daveo had a simple but effective bracket. It is on one of the inside cam cover bolts that aligns with the inner front screw of carb top chamber bolt on carb number 2.
