Sounds familiar, like 8 years ago when my then 5yo son helped dad fix one of the air filter housings on my 72' MGB GT. You can't scold them for it because they might lose interest and that would suck. I'm currently battling video gaming for his time but there's still a spark glowing in there.

I didnt scold him at all. I said "great job but next time wait until daddy is there with you so I can show you and you dont hurt yourself." Hes very happy and thinks he repaired my bike, and has been bragging to everyone about it. I would never scold a child over a material thing. I actually used the incident to encourage him and build him up.

video games are terrible in excess. an artificial world which imprisons kids. My friend's 19 year old wont go to school and litterally plays video games ALL DAY. Shes a single parent so there is no "enforcer" to straighten the kid out. Sad.

We're going off topic but you are absolutely right, as a result of circumstance my youngest grandson who is 13 now has been with us since he was 1 year old. When he has been on a "device ban" for a couple of days he is a totally different person, calm not argumentative or aggressive - it truly is an addiction of the modern world

Corporations, entities, the same ones that sell cigarettes, are of the same mindset as video game makers. They want money and dont give a damn about kids. Think about it: most candy is ARTIFICIAL. They replicate flavors in a lab and make junk for kids. My son thinks a grape or a strawberry is a treat, not NERDS or other candy which is TOTALLY artificial. Everything is against kids and exploiting kids. Why does it cost nearly $250,000 to send your kid to a good college so hes competitive? Why are ppl 21-30 paying off enormous student loan debts? Its pretty much slavery. This world is disgusting.

You’ve just described our American government.

Corporate America & billionaires own the United States government. the US is a de facto oligarchy, cemented by the citizens united supreme court decision.   As for the cereal, a company is selling a protein based "cereal" for adults without all of the sugar but I can't help think that it's just dog food flavored for human consumption. soylent green in different colors. ha ha.  .....  ps:  as w just about every other segment of the US economy, 4 large corporations control the cereal market & hence the pricing in the US.  corporate profits are at record levels, highest in over 50 yrs, while inflation is at its highest level since reagan. but somehow the 2 aren't related?

I agree with TexasKZ.  You have to find out what is damaged.  Take the carbs off and remove the plunger to see what's wrong.  Once you know what you need you can begin sourcing rejplacements.  If it's only the plunger you might be able to find one on ebay, or possibly at your local kaw dealer.  I checked partzilla and the parts are no longer available from KHI.  But if you need an entire carb you may be able to order one from them.  They show as "sign in to see price" and if you do the price is around $285.  The plunger itself may have been used on other models, so a little sleuthing might help uncover another source.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

sadly the part is nowhere on ebay and appear not to be available. I debating buying a new set of carbs altogether. Also partzilla says the carbs and $704 when you sign in. No way Im doing that.

That's if you buy the set.  If you buy one it's $285 or thereabouts.

Shane, send me a message send let's talk about getting those carbs fixed. I have a few sets of damaged but usable for parts carbs. All came off kz750bs, for my 77 kz750. I'm sure between the couple sets I must have a decent choke plunger if that's bent and the only problem
