Float valves are not sealing.

Original worn float valves can be temperamental when they have been disturbed .
They usually settle once a bit of fresh fuel has passed through them and a few taps on the bowl can help them seat.

Have you checked the fuel level in the carbs using the clear tube method?

Unless you have aftermarket high compression pistons, the engine does not need additional octane. Use what the owners manual and service manual recommend. Using higher octane is a waste of money.

Mains are too big.
With the air correctors you only need to a couple of sizes or so up from stock so 110-115 max.
ALL other carbs setting should remain stock, especially pilot jets and needle position (3rd / middle groove).
