KZ400

over the last year, i have acquired 3 sets of Keihin CVB36 carbs, and i'm noticing a trend which has me curious about the cause.
All 3 of these had been sitting for some time, and upon disassembly, Carb 1 (left) is relatively clean, but Carb 2 (right) is completely gunked up/corroded, and the pilot jet is mangled.
Set 1: My KZ400
Set 2: Parts Bike
Set 3: Acquired locally
Why is it always Carb 2? what is it about the setup that results in so much more damage to carb 2?
on one of the sets, after soaking in carb cleaner, and removing all the gunk covering the pilot jet, it appears someone tried removing it before...
there's what appears to be an extractor or drill bit broken off inside.
that's a seriously stuck jet, if soft brass is enough to break an extractor/drill bit of that size!

I'm curious to know what design, or conditions would lead to carb 2 being consistently worse than carb 1.
(based on my limited sample size)
Also, could a mod please update the Title?
it was supposed to be KZ400 Carb Mystery
thanks

Sample size just got larger, and once again, it's the #2 carb (right) is the one all gunked up.
luckily this time, it's just the float needle, and the pilot circuit is not destroyed.
Why is it always that carb?

When you park your bike with the side-stand, the left carb is covered by the bike, the right carb is exposed to the elements and has more opportunity for water ingress. That's the only thing I can think of.
