1979 KZ400 Pilot Jets - Removable?? was created by Dr. Frankenstein
Does anybody know if these pilot jets on a '79 KZ400-H1 come out? I have looked at diagrams in both the shop manual and online, and I don't know if they do or not...
If you look closely, you can see they are marked with a "20", and some of the supposed carb kits for this bike DO show a pilot jet in the kit (but not the size!) ...but the pilot jet itself is nowhere in the diagrams. These things are in TIGHT, and I don't want to bugger them up if I don't have to.
This '79 project of mine is kind of tricky - there are scant few parts designated for the H1, so I mostly go off of the 'B" model, as refenced on KZ400.com...

Yes, the pilot jet unscrews. Kawasaki says it should be a 35 jet. It is number 19 in the schematic.

if you are asking about the float valve, it looks like a 2.0, and may not be removable.
