SEEKING 1977 kz1000 a1 fuel lines vendor
06 Feb 2022 12:53
I am looking for a place to buy fuel lines for a 1977 kz1000a1
Does anyone know the type of hose and the size of hose?
Does anyone know the best type of clamp to use ?
I am also looking for four clamps to fit over the intake ports and forward buy the clamps that go on the intake manifold side of the carburetor ports.

Most bikes use 8mm id house which is equivalent to 5/16"
You can get 5/16" id fuel line by thefoot at your local auto parts store.

I've owned my 1977 KZ650C1 since it was new (45 years - eek). During that time I have tried several different fuel lines, filters, clamps, etc.. Here is what I have found to be the absolute best. A little expensive overall, but they will last forever. Ed
FUEL LINE (65123 - 5/16")

FUEL LINE CLAMPS (I found these at Willards Small Engines)
FUEL FILTER (The filter element is stainless steel and can easily be cleaned)
Golan Super Mini 5/16" SKU 1222522

STAINLESS STEEL ELBOW (I found this at a shop that sold propane components)

I took some cues from my elders… lol 650ed and Nessism… of course I mean in seniority, not age. Stainless beverage fittings from 650ed and fuel line from Nessism. You can get clamps sized by ID at Parts n more. Takes all the guess work out.

I use 1/4" clear tube from an auto parts store. I like seeing what's going on in there.

The Suzuki line is awesome. It's 7mm ID and they give you something like 5' of the stuff. It's thin and stretchy, so no clamps needed. Automotive fuel line is thick, designed for high pressure fuel systems.

You can get it at a Suzuki dealership or from any of the oem parts sellers like Partzilla, CMSNL, and Ron Ayers.
