High pressure/backfire in carb, blew air filter right off the bike

undefined Hey everyone, I have a 1999 Vulcan 1500 nomad, I’ve been working on the bike and cleaned the carb, put it back on and not sure if hooked up the wrong hose to it but I started it up, runs normal but when I revved the bike, it blew the air filter right off the bike and is backfiring with smoke from fuel burning right out of the carb. I didn’t do anything to the timing and don’t think it’s valves at all, I had engine open few months back to change oil pump gear and everything seamed okay.
