Kz750 Petcock to carb lines help was created by Metraso
Hello, I recently bought a '79 KZ750 twin. I'm just wondering if someone can show me how to connect the petcock to the carburetors? I've looked everywhere, but I just can't seem to find it.
Thanks, Joshua
Thanks, Joshua

I can take pictures of mine and post them when I get off work. It’s a 1980 twin cylinder, but it should be similar, if yours is also a twin.

Sorry I took so long. On my bike, here are fuel two outlets from the petcock, one to the left side of each carburetor. There also two vacuum lines connecting the carbs to each other, which I assume are to help balance them? Hopefully this helps. Maybe a non-newbie can chime in and help is both.tdogm6@yahoo.com post=849567I can take pictures of mine and post them when I get off work. So the earlier models use 38mm carbs and the later ones used 34. Was there a change in horsepower ratings?

Tex, I do not know the answer to your question about claimed HP. IIRC the early machines with the 38s were claimed to make 55 HP not sure about the later models with the 34s. I may have a manual somewhere that has this info will do some looking and see if I can find it.
Edit OK I did take a look at a manual I have for the 83 year and it appears to cover the K model and it indicates a KW not HP rating of 40.4, which if my math is correct equals 54.17729 HP. So very close to the earlier models with the bigger carbs.
As to parts these are Mikuni carbs, and in general parts for them are easier to find than for the Keihin carbs. But I have not done any research so do not know for sure, but I tend to look at these two places for Miknui parts - I am sure there are many other locations and members here will most likely provide others.
