I just did installed my carbs two days ago and they popped right in with two semi-forceful rocking motions. All my worrying was for naught. But troof be told I bought new carb holders.
It was $29 dollars per OEM holder but the painful part was the o rings at like 8 bucks each! Sure, I could have matched them up with something from the hardware store but they may not have been made from the secret formula that the OEM rings are made of. So about $150 for shiny new carb holders and the dang overpriced o rings (should have been 50 cents each).
Anyways, I don't have to think about it for another twenty five years.
