Nessism wrote: It's doubtful that those carbs need kits. What they need are full disassembly, including unganging, soaking in carb dip, then reassembly using new O-rings and gaskets. cycleorings.com sells O-rings and Z1 Enterprises sells gaskets. If you need new float needles then real deal Mikuni parts are by far the best. Dennis Kirk sells them for good prices.
I agree. Replace the fuel tees also. They get old and hard. Some have soaked them in gas to swell them but if they sit again the leaks could come back. As with anything OEM Mikuni is best.
EDIT, check the jet needle. Run your fingernail up and down at the bottom (thinnest part) your looking for a wear mark from the jet needle rubbing on the needle jet. Not real commen but it does happen. If you find a flat spot then push the jet out and inspect it. There is a number on the jet needle to get replacement. They can’t be fixed. Same with the jet, has a number on it. I’d suggest polishing the float needle and seat. Cut Q-Tripp’s in half and chuck them up in a drill. Use some mothers aluminum polish on the Q-Tipp in the float seat and clean them up till shiny. Then very carefully you can put needle in the drill chuck and polish them up with some 3000 wet sand. Be sure to keep the needle with the seat as a pair. Never mix them up.

Rockranch wrote: Thanks for the reply, but I'm aware of originals being cleaned and reused. I've been doing that, when need be, since the mid '70's. I was also thinking of alternate jet sizes (pilots/mains) etc, for alternate tunings, not just replacing old ones, as well as returning previously altered carb configs to stock. I have others (carb sets) and wasn't necessarily referring to the 2 pictured. I bought complete carb kits before, but it's been several years and I can't remember who it was. Thanks again.
You can find new pilot and main jets on evilbay, if you dead set on kit I have had the best luck with Keyster. They are your best value. Buy direct from the Japanese site. Us paypal as security if something goes bad. It won’t I have purchased twice without issue. Several others here also have bought there with quick shipping.
