So... comparing to the pic @Warren3000gt posted they should be VM22ss, but looking at the chart @Scirocco posted I should have VM24ss, since I have a C2.
Any thoughts? @Warren3000gt I'm not sure what you mean by "Vm22 has a extra port at about the 10 oclock position in the carb mouth."

Your carbs are vm24ss, a set of 1022 carbs. The table posted is something I created several years ago from info I could find and make some sense of. Never claimed it to be 100% correct. I know the set of 1046 are not vm24s rather vm22s and to my knowledge were not offered on the C1s like the table indicates.
I have attached a pic showing the port in the intake bell that you are asking about. To the best of my knowledge this port is only on the vm22s.

Nice! Ok, thank you so much! VM24ss then. It looks like I don't have an accelerator pump? What is that even?

Correct, no pump. If you search ebay for "KZ650 carbs" you will find lots with a the pump attachment on the float bowl.
Regarding the nuts on the sync adjusters, I think any nuts will work. It would be best if they are all the same hex size of course.

I would suggest that it would appear that the reason for your post has been answered and that your carbs do not have an accelerator pump, if you have questions about what that is start another post on the subject, where questions can be answered about it.
