You might want to read through this before ordering a bunch of expensive (and often inferior) aftermarket carb parts you might not need.

I've never seen a pdf manual for the ZN1100, so you'll probably have to get one off of EB.
Search for KZ1100 Shaft Manual & get one that covers your year. They're usually kind of pricy, but you might find one at reasonable cost.

My carburetors are different, but I just replaced gaskets & o-rings.
If you need new vacuum slide diaphragms, JBM Industries might have them.

The factory spec for those carbs have two different main jet sizes on cylinders 1 & 4. and 2 & 3.
I've often wondered the reasoning for that.

Kawasaki factory service manual part number 99924-1032-04 has service information for the 84/85 ZN1100's
One is currently listed on ebay for a good price and considering an offer! Item number 392832326067
Grab it!!!

The reasoning is to try to maintain temps on all cylinders within spitting distance of each other, 1 and 4 cool better, rich runs cooler than 14 to 1 stoichiometric mix.

I have always run the same jet sizes in all four carbs, except air jets tried recently in my Flat Slides.

Is it typical to have main jets set up that way on Kawasaki fours in general?

Running the same mains in all 4 or all 6 isn't a real problem unless you run at high throttle and revs a great deal of the time. Specifying the slightly richer mains on inner cylinders is a durabiity tweak to cover track day and race use as well as normal highway riding.
