Hey Ed maybe I should mind my own damn business but the way you answered the last post "maybe so" it makes me wonder if you are gonna route these the way the Kawasaki engineers said to or keep it the way it was set up wrongly by the shop you bought it from.

I know you say it runs fine and my God at 63,000 miles it would a showed a problem by now but I keep thinking about a quote about pods vs air boxes that you often make (and rightfully so) and that is the the Kawasaki engineers know the bike better than anyone else. Betting a pole of KZ650 owners would show that no one else took delivery of there bike set up this way.
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

The post above was reported and I see no reason a difference of opinion would be grounds to remove it.
On my KZ 900 box the vent tubes end at the holder tabs on the airbox lid. On the Z1 airbox they went past the box opening on the right and left as I remember it.

Hey Steve thanks and sorry about that............. I didn't mean any disrespect to Ed or was a trying to be a a hole in any way ...... I have a problem with words as Ed knows sometimes and I should have just said I hope he looks into it.

I wasn't at all offended. Since the engine has run great for all these miles I don't plan to change the routing of the vent hoses, but that's not to say routing them a different way would hurt anything at all. Ed
