Replacement for Stock Carb Manifolds/Boots
24 Jul 2020 14:51 - 24 Jul 2020 17:14
Hey y'all!
1982 KZ 305 CSR (non-belt) here! Factory everything.
I feel like I am going insane. My stock carb boots/manifolds/holders (lot of names from what I have seen lol) are real cracked and I think are part of the reason my bike has been acting up. I tried to repair and patch the bad one temporarily with some radiator hose and heat shrink and now it's worse than before, rendering it unusable
I have been looking for a week for any site that sells replacements for them and I am getting shot down from EVERYWHERE. I ordered a piece that I thought would work and it's too big and the bolt holes are too far apart (should have dug out the digital calipers before ordering for that).
The worst part is in every factory manual, the official Kawasaki site and random diagram I come across I still can't find a part number to save my life!
Does anyone know where I can get replacements? OR is this the type of part if I take the right accurate measurements I can find a universal fit part or one that is listed for another model and know it will fit?
There is a scrap vintage bike yard near my house and I would be willing to go there and scour or place an order online if I can find the dang things!
I lost a week of good midwest riding and am going to lose another one and it's wearing on my soul haha. Thanks for any help!

Take a look at
www.kawasaki.com/Parts/PartsDiagram/143938/1982/KZ305-A2
. It appears that the part number for the 1982 KZ305 CSR (non-belt drive) carb holders is 16065-1013. If you search the internet using that part number you may have better success. Ed

thanks to both of you!
Just a few minutes before you posted this information I actually found it on my own. Wasn't digging hard enough on the diagrams and my brain didn't think to check the cylinder and not the carbs. Well wish I would have found those last weekend but better late than never. Feels good to drop a 100 bucks on some rubber though  just glad I'll be able to ride again. Enjoy the weekend!
