Hi y’all, new here and just got my first bike. 1980 kawasaki kz440 Ltd. so at the bottom of the carbs, there is no hose or cap or anything, slow dripping. I know nothing! Super newb, but I am determined to figure this out and do what I can to get her on the road. I got a new battery, started her up this morning, so she runs, just needs some care and cleaning and figuring out what all she needs.

That dripping could be from the fuel level being too high. Could be dirty needle valves or improperly adjusted floats. Each carb should have a hose attached there that goes down between the engine and swingarm pivot. A factory service manual, some good metric wrenches and a set of JIS screwdrivers will make maintenance and repair much easier.

You can download a 440 manual from KZR. It is located in the Articles menu. I beleive it is the last one on the list.
