BS34 Carbs screen issues

HI All

Fitted a car rebuild set, brand new and apparently the only type of rebuild set available.. Was struggling to set fuel level so stripped it out just to check and found that the fuel was dissolving the glue holding the screen on.... 2 wiped off and 2 I had to fish out of the hole. Awaiting feedback from the seller.

So my choice appears to be use these without screens and an inline fuel filter
or
Use the originals, with some but not much visible wear....however they wont be matched sets as I have mixed them up.

Thoughts?

Thoes screens are not strictly needed. I'd ditch them. Just another reason to avoid aftermarket card kits.

They shouldn't be glued. They are to be just snapped on valve housing.

Yep, however if OEM screens don't seat properly on aftermarket valve housing, I'd better keep screens and buy OEM valves. Who knows what else might be wrong with that valves?

Just found these. They look like the originals, not a ridiculous price, better option?

Is this for your 92 KZ1000? The screens and valves are still available.

Filter 14043-1010
www.google.com/search?q=14043-1010&oq=14...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Valve 16030-1016
www.google.com/search?q=16030-1016&oq=16...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

O-Ring 92055-1059
www.google.com/search?q=92055-1059&oq=92...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

I would stay away from aftermarket valves/needles etc. unless a known good quality.

Partzilla sells them for just over $8 U.S. each. Wouldn't that be about 28 - 30 Euro total, plus shipping?

The Z1000J model carbs (BS34) and float valve (metal screen) should be the same you are looking for.

•Keyster = KYV-29S25
