Asking help to identify carburetors

Hello Kawasaki riders Would anyone know exactly what these carbs are and on what bike they fit?
Any help identifying them would be appreciated. I listed them on eBay. Thought they look like smoothbore (i don't even know what that means) but i read here that smoothbore have a square casting which mine don't have.

On each float bowl it says 30 but i do not get any measurement of 30mm. On the intake side i get 27mm and on the air filter side i get 39.5mm. Other markings i have found is R9 and 450 and 90

Mikuni VM 26. Came on a lot of Kawasaki and Suzuki liter sized bikes from the late 70's.

VM26 carbs probably measure 26mm inside the carburetor bore near the throttle slides. My VM24 carburetors are 24mm near the slides, but a tad over 26mm on the engine side where most folks would take the measurement.

There should be an ID number stamped on the flange below the chock handle. Though sometimes it is located on the flange on the other side of the carb set. If you provide the number we may be able to give you more info. See pick below.

They are VM26SS ( not smoothbores )
If they only have the air screw on the side and no fuel screw underneath they are Kawasaki z900/z1000.
Suzukis have both adjustment screws present.

I agree with zed1015. My understanding is that smoothbores have the brass piece visible in the square recess as shown below. That makes them pretty easy to identify. Ed

Those carbs are setup for a cable actuated choke. Did Kawasaki use a cable choke? I know the Suzuki GS1000E model bikes did but not sure about big KZ's. If there is both a pilot fuel screw and pilot air screw those carbs are most likely from a GS.

I think they are VM26SS carbs, most likely 1976 model, off a KZ900.

KZ900 carbs use a manual choke right?

Yes. The photos don't show it clearly but I think the carbs are operated by a lever on the left side.

Edited to add that I looked at my own set and a few on ebay and it's pretty clear there is no lever on the carbs. But the carbs are otherwise the same as mine.

Could be Suzuki with the cable choke but need to see the under side to see if there's also a fuel screw to confirm.
If not they are Kawa that's had the cable facility added.
Easy done if you have the parts.
Done it myself to utilise the choke lever that's usually present on the modern left hand side switch gear.
