Carb overflows, and time on my hands

I have a set of carbs with damaged overflow stubbs so with poor riding weather and time on my hands i decided to make a set of screw in ones, i purchased some 2mm bore brass tube and 8mm bar, turned down the bar and put a five mm .8 thread on it drilled a 3mm hole 12mm deep, then a 32mm deep 2mm hole, then cut the bar at 30mm long, mounted the piece in a threaded holder and done the tail, i then soldered the tube in the lower part, cut to length, pulled the old brass out of the bowl drilled to 4.2mm and tapped to 5mm a couple of wraps of plumbers tape on the thread, screw in and the job is done, saves scrapping bowls or trying to solder repair the tubes.

From a rank amateur at machine work that is very nice work on those overflow tubes! I would put those on a pedestal and never use them.

Nice. If you are not careful, you may have just created a part time job for yourself.
