440 Keihin CV 36 swap

Alright, relatively simple question, but unclear of the best way to approach this.

I have a set of Keihin CV 36 on my 440 LTD, and the carb body is cracked. Looked up a few online and found them. Happen to be talking to a friend who has a brand new set of Keihin CV 40's with a full rejet set sizes laying around. Can I do the swap? Or better to just spend the money and get the 36s?

Thank you !

Stay with the stock carbs. CV40s are way to big for the KZ440.
I don't know why Kawasaki used CV36s on the 440 . A CV32
would have been more than adequate for the engine size and
power level.
