First Kawasaki KZ1000. It is a 1979 ST in pretty good shape other than the fuel system being totally corroded. I am doing a carb cleaning and was using carb cleaner and sometimes my compressor to blow out orifices. I blew out the opening where a fuel line connects between the float bowls and something shot out like a bullet across my garage. I looked in one of the other float bowls to see that I was now missing and it is a small brass cylinder held in by a little spring clip.
I do not see the part on any exploded diagrams and it is not included on any carb rebuild kits that I have found.
Can anyone tell me the name of the part and what it does?
The carbs are Mikuni with a pump. I will also try to post a photo...

That is it! Thank you so much! Now I just need to order one. I had no idea that there was a metal ball in that as well.
I really appreciate the direction! I have been so slow to rebuild the carb and I am really looking forward to hearing this bike run!

It is part of the setup to provide a shot of gas from the accelerator pump when you turn your throttle handle.

Parts #46 to 49 on Partzilla fiche.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The little parts are sometimes listed on EB. Alternatively, the ball, rod, clip & o-ring are included in a K&L accelerator pump kit at Z1Enterprises.com.
