VM 26 Carb Rebuilding Kits was created by Rick H.
I have a '77 KZ-1000A1 and in a few weeks will be attempting to overhaul the carbs on it. I have read lots of great "how to" information on this site regarding this type of project, but what brand of rebuilding kits are you guys buying for this job and where are you buying them from? It seems there are several choices out there but I don't want to waste money on kits that are marginal at best. Also, where can the all metal fuel Tees be obtained for these carbs? Thanks for any help on this....

I use Japanese Keyster kits supplied by NRP here in the UK but i'm sure there will be a supplier in the US.

High quality gear that i've used long term and never had a problem with .
Look on Ebay for the tee's or Z1 enterprises etc.

I use Keyster as well. I get the delux kit from Z1 Enterprises.

It is very important to change out the needle jets and the needles...something most people don't do. You will find a strong improvement in power and in fuel consumption.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I much prefer to reuse the real deal Mikuni parts vs aftermarket, which are routinely of questionable quality. All you should have to replace is the soft parts anyway. Cycleorings.com has a nice o-ring kit and gaskets are available from tons of sources.

I've had a hard time finding Mikuni parts. Particularly needle jets.
