What is the purpose of the O-ring on a bleed pipe I got a new carburetor rebuild kit and it has o rings in it but my OB pipe did not have O-rings on it it seems to run fine before without the O-rings just wondering should I put them in or not any help would be appreciated thank you almost got this thing together and on the road

I think he is talk about a 77 Z1000. Some typ of bleed pipes need o-rings an some not.

Thanks for the pics I do believe that I have a non o-ring type cuz there is no glue for the O-ring thank you so much

Yeah I got the back wheel I'm waiting to get a few more parts I need some brake parts for my rear caliper so I haven't switched it over to the cast wheel yet thank you for the comments appreciate it

Kawi77 here ya go. The Non-o-ringed jet holder is proper for 76-77 KZ900 STD and LTD VM26's. The O-ringed Holder is correct for 77 Early and Late VM26's. Photo of jet holders, aka emulsion tubes shown. Included a couple photos of the different carb styles. One with the rubber choke knob is the KZ900 1976-77 the other one is the "early" KZ1000 1977. The slides will be goldish on the 900's and silver on the 1000. Stamping will be Z1200 on 900 and 29901 on 1000. Hope it helps, Clay

Thanks for the information you are correct mine is a non o-ring type I went ahead and put the kid together started it up runs like a champ couldn't be more pleased thank you for your info thanks for the pictures have a great day
