pilot jet turns, but doesn't fall out

EDIT: finally got my pilot jet out, but the jets are all pretty beat-up.

Where can you recommend for a carb rebuild kit for a '78 KZ400B ("Keihin 1209 RK13") ? It looks like I've got:
  • PILOT JET,#35 (92064-1001)
  • MAINJET, PRIMARY,#70 (92063-1002)]
  • MAIN JET,2ND,#95 (92063-1001 (which is the needle jet)

When I look at rebuild kits, I only see o-rings, a float needle+seat, a pilot jet, needle jet and the needle, and some kind of threaded adjust screw with a pointed end (maybe the air bleed screw). But I need 3 jets.

Also, while I'm asking, the "MAINJET,PRIMARY" (the one to the side of the needle jet) appears to cover a pressed-in brass tube, which pokes slightly up into the carb throat. It looks like pounding it out would probably damage it... should I just leave it in and try to clean it with a fine wire?

The brass tube that goes into the carb throat is usually the main jet. If it goes to the center of the throat floor, it should be the one the main needle slides into. If that's the case, you should be able to push through from the top downward with something soft like a chopstick (wooden). It should drop out through the bowl.

That one need s to come out since they can sometimes be covered in scuz.

Depends where you are, from the time stamp it looks like the UK in which case Allensperformance.co.uk. all the items they have are genuine parts.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!
