I have a 78 kz1000. The #4 carb is marked as RS66. Most of the pics and diagrams i find show a pilot air screw on the top outside of each carb. These carbs do not have the screw. The issue is i have fuel to the carbs but none to the cylinders. Runs if i hit it with starter fluid then dies obviously. The carbs have been chemdipped and clear. Brand new batt new wires. Longs as the starter fluid is there both kick and starter will make it run. What am i missing?

Did you remove the pilot jets and hold them up to a light to make sure they are open? When you dipped the carbs did you remove the pilot jets and pilot screw?

Maybe fuel isn't coming into the carbs. Performing the clear tube test is a good way to judge proper float and needle function.

Sounds like you are missing fuel being added to the combustion chambers via the carbs. The chemistry to that is not always easy but usually is strait forward. Let us know what you come up with, and good luck …..
