Kz1000k cable routing

Trying to piece back together a bike I’ve never seen together haha. Trying to figure out how the throttle cable attaches to the carb. The manual pictures are a little blurry. So I’ve touted the cable through the triples and down the right side of the frame. At the carb there is two wheels to link the cable to. I’ve ran it to both wheels and I don’t seem to have enough slack to hook it up. Which wheel does the cable attach to?

Well while researching this I’ve found out that these are not the original carbs. Appear to be VM33 smooth bores

You didn't give model/year of the bike, but I'm assuming you're dealing with a pre-J engine ('80 or down) Police carb set. The P bikes used 2 throttle cables (push/pull) explaining the two wheels. Check Kawi parts to see if your bike's single pull cable is the same as the pull on the P bike dual setup.

And if this is the case you want try and attach the single cable to the wheel that opens the throttle. The other one is to close the throttle incase it hangs up.

From what I’ve looked up I believe it is an 82 J motor in an 81ltd frame. Haven’t had much time to look at it lately. Joys of moving

'81 or '82 used Mikuni BS34. Still looks like the carbs you have came off an earlier Police bike.
