Rejetting,fouled plugs
31 Mar 2019 10:59
I've been reworking a set of carbs for a kz 650. I use a Vance and hines exhaust, pods and Dina coils. Original carbs had 130 mains and ran good. My rebuilt set were stock so I put in a set dyna jet kit in. Its too rich and fouling plugs which make it miss. Idles good but under load sucks. I've adjusted the needles again to lean it out but still too rich. I'm going to lean them again but I think the mains are too big. I think they were 122 or 118. Been awhile. Also I believe the kit had me change the needle too. Might go back to the originals if I can't make these work so any advice? I'd hate to have to pull my reworked set. They're very nice.

Original carbs had 100 or 102 main jets. 110 main jets for pods are ok.
But 130 main jets are a way to much = fouled spark plugs

17.5 pilot jets, 112.5 mains and put the needle clip in the middle. 130 are WAY to big.
