I don't ride my bike a whole lot so I use Sta-Bil in each tank. One bottle lasts a long time and I figure it's better to use it up instead of letting it go to waste.

In my mind the best storage plan is to be sure that your fuel tank is FULL before storing the bike for the winter, that way the opportunity for water vapor to condense in the tank is minimized.

I think it would make more sense to run some Heet trough the system on the second to last fill up.

I typically but non-alcohol fuel however when I'm on the road any fuel will do. My KZ900 taught me a lesson years ago. I noticed that occasionally the fuel petcock would be very difficult to adjust. It took some time before I connected the problem with leaving the bike with alcohol fuel in the tank. Since then any fuel will do except if it's to be the last fill up before the end of the trip.

Here in Canada there is ethanol in almost all gas, but often one can find premium gas without ethanol. I use the link below to find gas stations that sell ethanol free gas.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The pumps around here say "May Contain 10% Ethanol" which means it does
