VM29 Choke enrichment tube damaged

Will VM29 smooth bores still perform with one damaged choke enrichment tube. Tube is still there but has a crack in it and bent a little.

Once the choke is off the tube has no function. So as long as the bike starts on 3 cylinder choke, which it should, it will be fine. It might be worth trying to put some kind of sleeve on it to cover the crack if poss?

Just solder up the crack. It supposedly can be done with just a normal soldering iron.
Try googling “solder overflow tube”
and read up on it.

I tried solding those tubes before and failed. After that I followed this tutorial and it worked great

Used the dimple in the side of a threading die to roll over the end. For the choke tube you need to drill a small cross hole near where the tube plugs into the float bowl. Overall, it's quite a simple process.
