Choke valves

So, turns out 3 out of 4 of my choke valves are missing a flap.

Does anybody know where to get the valves, or have some to sell? They are unavailable on Z1.

loudhvx has information about the choke flaps on his motorcycle stuff page. See links in the signature of any of his replies.

I'm not allowed to tell you where they are available. All I can say is anyone making those is likely selling those at a huge loss.

By some miracle, the flaps seem to go in and out of the motor. Everyone once in awhile a bike will have one stuck in a valve.

This page will show how and why they break. Routine inspection and correction can prevent some of the breaks.

Maybe I should become a believer.. What is our god called? :p

Thank you for the link! It explained very well :)

Do you happen to know if there is any difference on the valves? Noticed they are marked 1 and 2.

I thought they were all the same, but it is always good practice to put parts back where they came from . It might be best to mark them with a marker so they don't get mixed up. When taking parts off a rack of carbs, I like to get four small boxes marked 1, 2, 3 and 4 to keep the parts organized. (The cylinders are numbered 1 to 4 from left to right as you sit on the bike, so the carbs are numbered similarly.)

I updated the choke flap page. You may want to check it out. Scroll all the way to the bottom.
